Job summary

A well-known employment services company in Singapore is looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee the production process of a new manufacturing site. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of supervisory experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, with comprehensive knowledge of safety rules in a chemical plant. Responsibilities

• Responsible for monitoring the production process of the New Manufacturing sit
• Supports process transition and shutdown work planning with maintenance team. Updating and maintaining all standard operating procedures (SOP), training manual for the production department
• Responsible for issuing SOP of new plant site and training new employees to achieve safe and stable commissioning and startup of new New plant.
• Competent in actual plant operation, and support and assist the shift supervisors and production technicians in the new production of Plant.
• Monitor and maintain utility supply system operation.
• Arrange disposal of waste products with authorized waste handling companies.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance and commissioning of equipment.
• Work with Maintenance Department on Transition and shutdown maintenance planning
• Review and update all standard operating procedures, training manual and conduct classroom and on the job training for process technicians
• Lead safety activities for PPE, 5S, KY and other safety exercise for technicians.
• Support the orientation, training and supervision and evaluation of newly employed and existing production personnel according to the Total Company Training Plan and production demands.
• Manage the training of production technicians to achieve the standards required of HSEQ policy and its compliance system i.e. ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and SS 651.
• Participate in continual and process improvement

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of Operation Supervisory experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Terminal etc.
• Must be able to lead people in a supervision or lead role.
• Exceptional knowledge and application of all safety rules and safety processes required in a chemical plant.
• Possess supervisory / leadership skills.
