Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Engineer to join our team, specializing in chiller maintenance and commissioning. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in servicing chillers and related HVAC systems, demonstrating strong technical abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of chiller systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding chiller operations and maintenance.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues and implement effective solutions.
- Educate clients on proper operation and maintenance practices to extend the lifespan of their chiller systems.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports outlining service activities, findings, and recommendations for future improvements.
- Execute commissioning processes for new chiller installations, ensuring systems are installed correctly and functioning as designed.
- Collaborate with customers and contractors to verify system performance and compliance with specifications.
- Foster a collaborative working relationship with contractors, encouraging teamwork and shared problem-solving.
- Work closely with contractors to share knowledge, improve processes, and enhance overall service delivery.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing service tasks to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct safety briefings and ensure all parties understand their responsibilities regarding safety.
- May involve working in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings.
- Field-based role requiring travel to client sites.
- Available to respond to chiller breakdown calls during assigned standby shifts.
Education & Experience
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Qualifications
- Proven experience in chiller maintenance, commissioning, or related HVAC roles (3–5 years)
- 3–5 years of experience in HVAC or chiller systems
- Strong technical knowledge of chiller systems, HVAC principles, and electrical controls
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
