This role will expand the network by building strategic relationships with key institutional clients, a network of modern retail buyers and exporters, as well as execute the long-term vision of being an able B2B and B2C supplier of a top-quality basket of pulses.
Responsibilities
- Trading Strategies, Risk Control and Middle Office Management
- Formulate and execute global trading strategies along with Global Head of Pulses
- Communicate and coordinate with global teams on implementation of strategies, risk control and position management
- Job responsibilities in middle office management along with Global Head of Pulses on operations control, alignment of trading strategies, due diligence, compliance and reporting to management
- Marketing for Indian sub-continent
- CFR marketing of all relevant products into the Indian sub-continent along with Global Head of Pulses
- Information flow, daily monitoring of trade activities, price movements and data management and market insights
- Relationship management of key stakeholders like buyers, brokers and institutional clients
- Black Matpe Origination and Strategy
- Take full control of formulation and implementation of trading strategy of Black Matpe
- Origination from Myanmar and Brazil
- Marketing into key markets of Indian sub-continent and to bigger millers across the world
- Risk management, price monitoring, position management and reporting
- Pigeon peas Origination and Strategy
- Take full control of formulation and implementation of trading strategy of Pigeon peas
- Origination out of Myanmar and East Africa in line with strategies in destination market in India
- Risk management, price monitoring, position management and reporting
- Pulses Milling
- Identify strategic pulse milling opportunities on the basis of need gap identification in the consumer market, geographies basis raw material availability and logistic factors
- Identify partners, clients and customers based on long term vision of being a leading national player in India with a wide product portfolio
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commodities trading, with a significant portion in pulses trading.
- Proven track record of successful trading and profitability in the pulses market.
- Strong understanding of global pulses supply chains, market dynamics, and risk management practices.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Academics
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Agriculture, or a related field.
