Our hedge fund client, an innovative startup based in Singapore specializing in emerging markets credit and FICC strategies, is looking for a dedicated Fixed Income Trade & Fund Accounting Specialist to join their growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the operational backbone of a fast-growing business focused exclusively on fixed income and related markets.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily trade lifecycle activities related to fixed income, currencies, and commodities products, including trade booking, allocation, reconciliation, and ensuring timely settlement and control processes.
  • Oversee fund and separately managed account (SMA) operations, including investor transactions, NAV calculations, and preparation of investor NAV statements, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Act as the primary liaison for auditors, fund administrators, brokers, custodians, and other external stakeholders to support audits, reporting, and operational workflows.
  • Prepare and maintain operational reports for trading, operations, compliance, and risk teams.
  • Develop and maintain operational manuals and procedures to mitigate risks and support daily fund activities.
  • Participate in operational, compliance, and valuation meetings to address client and business requirements.
  • Lead efforts to implement front-to-back operational models to enhance efficiency and control.
Job Requirements:
  • Degree in finance, economics, business administration, mathematics, engineering, or related fields.
  • CFA or MBA qualifications will be a bonus point.
  • Minimum 3 years in-house experience managing trade lifecycle processes specifically for fixed income, currencies, and commodities products such as bonds, repos, FX, and related instruments. Experience with trade affirmation platforms like DTCC, Omgeo (Oasys, CTM), and Traiana is a plus.
  • Background in trade support within financial institutions, hedge funds, private equity or iBank. Familiarity with Bloomberg Fixed Income OMS, EMS, or trade execution systems (e.g., Enfusion, EZE OMS) is advantageous. Knowledge of prime brokerage margin, collateral management, and settlements is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and overall computer literacy.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and a disciplined approach to work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex operational issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Energetic, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Must have the right to work in Singapore.
