Job description
Job Overview:

The Senior Technical Manager is responsible for providing technical leadership and operational oversight for the Dry & Wet Process Division, which covers Toxic Industrial Waste (TIW) treatment, metal recovery, recycling (RCY), and all related operation processing activities. This role requires deep expertise in hazardous waste management, recycling technologies, process optimization, regulatory compliance, and strategic leadership. The incumbent will lead the operations team to drive productivity, efficiency, and sustainability in our operations while fostering continuous improvement and innovation. Additionally, Japanese language proficiency is required to facilitate effective communication with Headquarters in Japan and to ensure smooth reporting and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
1. Technical & Operational Leadership
  • Oversee the entire TIW-RCY process and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of waste treatment and recycling technologies.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and optimize resource recovery.
  • Evaluate and transfer Japan technologies to local to improve waste treatment methods and recycling outcomes.
2. Operational Financial Management & Budgeting
  • Develop and manage the operations annual budget, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial objectives.
  • Monitor operating costs and expenses, leading operations team to implementing cost-saving initiatives without compromising operational efficiency.
  • Set and achieve budgeted EBIT targets, ensuring financial sustainability and profitability.
  • Identifying key areas for revenue growth and cost management.
  • Collaborate with the Finance & Administration department to track and report financial performance metrics.
3. Team Management & Leadership
  • Manage and mentor a team of Factory Managers, R&D Engineers and Technical Specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Participate in key operations meetings, including Daily Toolbox Meetings, Supervisors’ Meetings, Weekly Management & Sales Meetings, Project Meetings, and Safety Meetings and etc.
  • Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to the team.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration to achieve operational excellence.
4. Strategic Planning & Business Development
  • Collaborate with top management to develop and implement long-term strategies for waste recycling and sustainability initiatives.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and innovative recycling solutions.
  • Support the company’s sustainability goals by implementing circular economy principles in waste management.
  • Optimize costs and operational efficiency while maintaining environmental responsibility and compliance.
5. Safety & Risk Management
  • Collaborate with the EHS department to implement and oversee strict safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support risk assessments and hazard identification to ensure all equipment, processes, and personnel comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Work closely with EHS to analyze incidents, lead root cause investigations, and implement corrective and preventive action plans to mitigate future risks.
  • Promote a safety is our first priority culture by reinforcing best practices and continuous improvement in hazardous waste handling and recycling operations.
Japanese Reporting to Headquarters
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to headquarters in Japan, including financial reports, operational updates, and strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to gather data and information for reportingpurposes.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between the headquarters and local teams to support business objectives and alignment with global strategies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field). Master degree is a plus.
  • Previous experience in operation and project coordination, construction management, or related roles in the industrial sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Rotary Kiln and Vertical Stocker incineration technologies, WWTP, HF & CaF₂, and engineering principle.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and adapt to changing project requirements.
