Job description
  • Based in clinic located at Orchard Road
  • Lead, supervise, mentor and roster the nursing team
  • Perform and oversee all clinical nursing duties including medication administration, IV cannulation/venipuncture, assisting in minor theatre procedures and cataract/day-surgery cases
  • Coordinate pre and post-operative nursing care for all surgical patients
  • Conduct patient counselling for all ophthalmic procedures; ensure informed consent process is thorough and well-documented
  • Plan, coordinate and maintain availability and sterility of instruments, equipment, consumables and emergency trolleys
  • Oversee stock management, regular stock-taking, expiry checks and procurement of medications, surgical supplies and contact lenses
  • Implement and monitor clinic infection control policies, JCI/ISO standards and MOH regulations
  • Conduct regular nursing audits, quality improvement projects and training sessions
  • Act as the key liaison between doctors, patients and external vendors
  • Handle patient feedback and clinical incidents; perform root-cause analysis when necessary
  • Step in to cover clinical duties during peak periods or staff shortages
  • Assist in onboarding and competency assessment of new nurses
  • Eye trained preferred
