Job description
Overview

Are you passionate about solving complex challenges in the fintech space? We’re looking for talented individuals to join our dynamic startup, backed by Sequoia Capital. We’re building the universal payment layer to unify all currencies—fiat and crypto—so businesses and consumers can transact seamlessly. If you're passionate about creating innovative solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, we want to talk to you.

We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Productivity!

As a Software Engineer, Productivity at Breeze, you’ll take ownership of building the internal tools and automation systems that empower our Risk Ops, Compliance Ops, and Product Ops teams. You’ll design and implement scalable solutions to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and ensure our internal systems are just as high-performing as the products we deliver externally.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, build, and maintain internal tools, APIs, and systems that support our Risk, Compliance, and Product Operations teams.
  • Automate manual workflows to improve accuracy, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deeply understand internal pain points and translate them into scalable engineering solutions.
  • Develop dashboards, monitoring tools, and data-driven insights that help teams make better decisions.
  • Work with backend services and serverless infrastructure to integrate systems and streamline operational processes.
  • Take ownership of your work as a product engineer—design, implement, and iterate based on feedback from real users (our internal teams).
  • Drive engineering best practices, code quality, and scalability across all internal systems.
What We’re Looking For
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, ideally in fintech, payments, or startup environments.
  • Experience building internal tools, automation platforms, or productivity systems.
  • Strong backend development skills with Node.js and TypeScript (or similar modern frameworks and languages).
  • Familiarity with cloud or serverless infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a track record of delivering reliable systems.
  • Excellent communication skills – critical for working with cross-functional stakeholders and understanding operational needs.
  • A product-focused mindset and a drive to build tools that improve how teams work.
  • A passion for working in a dynamic startup environment and solving complex, ambiguous problems.
  • Experience in payments, compliance, or risk operations tooling is a plus.
Our Culture

Fast-paced and dynamic – We’re a growing startup that moves quickly.
Tech-driven – We leverage technology to empower both our users and our internal teams.
Ownership and communication – We value people who take full ownership and communicate clearly across teams.
Continuous learning – You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside industry experts and enhance your expertise in building scalable internal systems.
