About the role
- Perform static, dynamic, and structural thermal-mechanical analyses with minimal guidance.
- Drive design decisions using credible simulation methods and collaborate closely with Design Engineers.
- Proactively assess risks, solve problems, and communicate issues concisely.
- Plan, prioritize, and ensure timely handover of project deliverables across teams and locations.
- Learn new technical skills as needed to resolve issues through self-learning and research.
- Present findings and mitigation strategies to cross-functional teams for effective solutions.
- Promote technical excellence, best practices, and develop new tools or methods to enhance product performance and reliability.
About you
- Bachelor\'s (Master\'s preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Material Science, or equivalent, with 5+ years experience in mechanical product analysis and development.
- Proficient in CAD/CAE tools (e.g., ANSYS, Moldflow, Abaqus) and experienced in structural (FEA), plastic molding, and modal/vibration analyses.
- Strong understanding of solid mechanics and material strength; experience with FEA automation or machine learning is a plus.
- Familiarity with measurement and data acquisition tools (e.g., B&K Pulse, strain gauge, MATLAB, Labview).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk identification skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and contribute to FMEA sessions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly present ideas and coach less experienced engineers.
- Collaborative team player, passionate about FEA automation and analytics, open to feedback and knowledge sharing.
