Overview

Adecco is working with a world-class research organization in Singapore dedicated to the fusion of organic chemistry and biotechnology. We are seeking a Senior Scientist to act as a primary driver of research activity, leading a team of assistants in the pursuit of breakthrough drug candidates.

  • Full time position
  • Location: Singapore, Central West region

This is a high-impact role where you will lead a proprietary mid-size molecule platform to bridge the gap between traditional small molecules and biologics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Drug Discovery: Lead the identification and optimization of hit peptides from specialized libraries into viable drug candidates.
  • Lead Innovation: Propose and spearhead new projects and develop novel peptide screening technologies.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Research Assistants to ensure project milestones are met with technical precision.
  • Collaboration: Work across multi-disciplinary teams to integrate chemistry and biotechnology solutions.
The Talent

The successful candidate must demonstrate high proficiency in at least one of the following:

  • Organic Chemistry (Advanced synthetic methodologies).
  • Peptide or Nucleic Acid Chemistry (Including solid-phase synthesis).
  • Medicinal Chemistry (Small or mid-size molecules).
  • Chemical Biology (Protein structure and mode of action analysis).
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemical Biology.
  • 1-2 years of post-PhD experience in a related research or industry setting.
  • Demonstrated success through peer-reviewed publications or significant project contributions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail; experience with precise experiments (e.g., aseptic manipulation) is a significant plus.
  • Fluency in English with excellent communication skills and "team-player" mindset.
