Job summary

A leading staffing solutions company seeks a subject matter expert for EHS management in Singapore. Responsibilities include developing and implementing EHS programs, managing compliance of contractors, and establishing ISO management systems. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, along with WSHO and FSM certifications. Experience in the pharmaceutical or chemical industries is preferred. Job description

Subject matter expert for site Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) and security management systems. The role includes the review of the EHS aspects of facilities and equipment design. Perform physical inspection, support system testing and commissioning.

  • Scope also includes the development of SOP, design and implementation of EHS programs in preparation for operation phase.
  • Develop and implement EHS and security management system, programs and SOPs based on corporate EHS policy, standards and requirements, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Establish ISO14001 Environmental Management System and ISO45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
  • Develop Emergency Preparedness and Response plan in accordance with the statutory requirements from SCDF and other regulatory authorities.
  • Develop Risk Management program.
  • Develop and implement EHS Training program for employees and contractors.
  • Develop and implement EHS Inspection and Audit program, and track CAPA to closure.
  • Manage Environmental program to ensure all types of wastes are treated and disposed in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage EHS compliance of all contractors on site.
  • Manage security manpower service provider.
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering or science.
  • WSHO and FSM, preferably with other relevant EHS certifications
  • Experience in managing EHS in the pharmaceutical or chemical industries
  • Proficient in local regulatory requirements and good industry practice.
  • Experience in the implementation of ISO14001 or ISO45001.
