Job Summary

The Senior/Lead Engineer in Research and Development (R&D) for Oil and Gas Surface Wellhead / Large Size Connectors Products will be responsible for leading the development of innovative wellhead solutions, managing a team of engineers, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of designing and working on complex projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage R&D projects focused on the development of Surface Wellhead Products, Mudline Systems and/or Large Size Connectors.
  • Oversee the design, development, and testing of new product technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in R&D activities.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines.
  • Conduct research to identify new technologies and materials for Wellhead and/or Connector products.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve current products performance and reliability.
  • Review and approve design packages including layouts, hand stress calculations, tolerance studies, and design documentation.
  • Provide technical advice to all company location operations and sales.
  • Continuously improve department work processes and create product design standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 8/12 years of experience in engineering, with a focus on oil and gas wellhead products.
  • Proven experience in leading R&D teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
