Job summary

A leading food services company in Singapore is looking for a Senior Procurement Executive / Assistant Procurement Manager to source, negotiate, and purchase supplies for Central Kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in procurement, particularly within the food and beverage sector. Responsibilities include maintaining supplier relationships, conducting cost analysis, and ensuring quality standards. Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English is required for effective communication with clients.

Senior Procurement Executive / Assistant Procurement Manager
  • Source, negotiate, and purchase food and non-food items to support Central Kitchen operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while driving cost reduction initiatives.
  • Work closely with Production and QA teams to ensure product quality meets required specifications.
  • Ensure stable and continuous supply of materials to avoid operational disruptions.
  • Participate in vendor performance reviews and supplier evaluations.
  • Analyze inventory levels and manage excess, slow-moving, and obsolete stock.
  • Conduct cost analysis and establish benchmarks to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Generate purchase orders and maintain proper documentation and filing systems in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects by identifying operational, service, and process gaps, and highlighting training needs.
  • Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and industry best practices.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties and special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • At least 3 years of procurement or sourcing experience, preferably within the F&B industry.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly meticulous, process-driven, and demonstrates strong integrity.
  • Creative and resourceful, with the ability to think innovatively to solve problems.
  • Committed to quality, including food safety and customs compliance, with a strong customer-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Must be effectively bilingual, both spoken and written Mandarin and English to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
