Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Development of novel polymer chemistries for use in the development of single-walled carbon nanotube based sensors for use in monitoring plant metabolites in vivo.
  • Successful candidates will be reporting to Prof. Michael Strano (MIT), and will be working in an interdisciplinary and collaborative team.
  • Able to present research work in regular meetings, meet project deadlines.
  • Write scientific manuscripts for publications and take part in intellectual property protection.
  • Present research work in internationally reputed conferences and apply for extramural funding with colleagues.
Job Requirements
  • PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering or related fields.
  • Published at least 1-2 publications in top international peer-reviewed journals.
  • Experience in nanomaterial or polymer synthesis for biosensing.
  • Candidates with additional experience in the application of sensors to plant biology or agriculture are preferred.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate, work in teams and interact with collaborators.
