The company is seeking a high-performing Senior Petrochemical Trader to be based in Singapore. The successful candidate will either lead a small trading team of 2 or join as a key individual contributor, focusing on products such as LPG, Gasoline, Olefins (Ethylene, Propylene), Aromatics, and other related derivatives.
This role requires strong market expertise, proven trading capability, and the ability to work closely with headquarters and global stakeholders.
Trading & P&L Management:
Lead trading activities in petrochemical products to optimize P&L across Asia and global markets.
Manage active exposure and P&L reporting.
Identify and develop new trading opportunities.
Monitor market trends, supply-demand fundamentals, and pricing dynamics to inform trading decisions.
Business Development & Market Expansion:
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and international market participants.
Identify, propose, and pursue partnership opportunities and export/growth initiatives aligned with corporate objectives.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Adhere to trading guidelines, ethics, HSSE policies, and ship vetting protocols.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks governing international petrochemical trading.
Internal Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
Work closely with chartering, logistics, operations, finance, legal, and risk teams to ensure smooth deal execution.
Support knowledge sharing and coaching of junior team members as needed.
Bachelors degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, International Trade, Business, or related fields.
Minimum 10 years of experience in petrochemical trading (aromatics, MTBE, olefins, LPG, Gasoline, or related products).
Proven track record of successful trades and deep understanding of physical trading and commercial risk management.
Experience liaising with refineries, producers, or customers.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
