Job summary

A leading laboratory services company in Singapore is seeking a skilled laboratory technician to perform laboratory testing in clinical chemistry and immunoassays. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in biomedical or biological science and have at least 5 years of clinical laboratory experience, along with strong analytical and communication skills. Responsibilities include validating laboratory data, maintaining quality control, and ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines. The position may require occasional duties on Sundays and public holidays.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory testing in clinical chemistry and immunoassays.
  • Determine the acceptability of samples with guidelines and prepare specimens for analysis.
  • Validate the accuracy of laboratory data.
  • Evaluate the test results accurately in accordance with procedures.
  • Operate instruments to perform testing in accordance with established written procedures.
  • Perform experiments, as scheduled, for evaluation of new reagents. Maintain quality control of laboratory testing to ensure accurate and timely lab reporting. Document corrective and preventative actions with good documentation practices.
  • Assist in the servicing and maintenance of laboratory equipment according to manufacturer and SOP requirements.
  • Comply with regulatory guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for new initiatives, Six-sigma projects and other process improvement projects.
  • Performs research to support requests for new instruments/equipment needed to implement new essays, improve productivity and reduce costs. Works with potential vendors and provides necessary information to internal customers for implementation.
  • Lead cross-site harmonization efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical or biological science from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in a clinical laboratory with biochemistry and/or immunoassay experience will be preferred. Job position will be offered based on experience and qualifications.

  • Able to work independently as well as a good team player with initiative and adaptive to changes
  • Good planning and organizing skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sunday and Public holiday duties occasionally required.
