Advisors Program Management

Advisors Program Management is an execution‑oriented client‑facing competency that applies proven, accredited change skills and domain experience to partner with clients and help them drive measurable value by:

  • Developing new products and strategies to market smoothly and efficiently
  • Managing a portfolio of projects that support a strategy, a strategic change or initiative with significant impact on the organization

As a Senior Managing Consultant, you will be responsible for the commercialization of the Program Management business in the market, working with key accounts to scale the business.

  • Build and scale APM capabilities across the market to deliver best‑in‑class Mastercard and client solutions.
  • Build relationships with colleagues across AP to bring APM best practices to the market.

This is a position that spans across two disciplines.

  • Proven and excellent experience in scaling a business through working with key partners.
  • Excellent team leadership to inspire, motivate and influence large, diverse teams (including direct reports, stakeholders and contractors) to deliver outstanding project outcomes for clients and establish a high‑performing culture.

  • The ideal candidate will be commercially minded, data driven and skilled in navigating ambiguity in fast‑moving environments to ensure growth.
  • Successful leadership and delivery of projects across different clients / businesses
  • Demonstrated experience in taking a new product or business to market at scale
  • Experience in building a team and growing revenues, through delivery of large digital programs across the financial services sector from initiation to benefit realization.
  • Develop partnerships with internal and external partners to unlock growth opportunities.
  • Support sales conversations with clients, drive understanding of problem statements.
  • Build strong partnerships with in‑market and regional leadership, leveraging collaboration to identify new opportunities and support delivery teams.
  • Experience with Agile ways of working and / or as a scrum master
  • Develop strong bonds with clients that endure beyond a particular assignment, serves as a go‑to resource for client staff, is sought out for knowledge of industry and firm
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, able to direct workstreams across large multi‑faceted project teams
  • Strong writer, presenter and speaker, comfortable and ability to influence at all levels in an organization. Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to frame the customer’s opportunity in financial terms i.e. value quantification, estimate effort and scope
  • Able to use own initiative, develop solutions or adapt approaches to support the delivery of defined objectives and benefits. Able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced deadline‑driven environment.
  • Allocate and manage technical resources effectively. Ensure that project teams have the necessary skills and tools to complete their tasks.
  • Demonstrate authentic leadership and integrity, gravitas and experience of leading multi‑disciplinary teams in a matrixed environment, mentoring staff, evaluating performance and providing feedback. Gain consensus with others and co‑ordinate the team arounds business goals.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification. Advanced degree or MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of scaling a business and delivering successful projects.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in Agile/Scrum and waterfall project management including development methodologies, able to manage complex projects in the financial services industry
  • Exposure specifically in payments and / or retail banking or merchants preferred
  • Comfortable with significant client interaction and interest in building relationships
  • Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required, knowledge of Project Management tools preferred
  • Willingness to travel
