A leading aviation energy firm located in Singapore seeks a Senior Manager, Legal & Compliance to provide legal support on commercial transactions, joint ventures, and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law, possess over 8 years of legal experience, and be proficient in both English and Mandarin. Our client, a leading player in the aviation energy sector, is seeking a Senior Manager, Legal & Compliance. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior management on corporate legal matters, commercial transactions, joint ventures, and enterprise-wide compliance initiatives across the region.
Provide legal advisory and support for business operations, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts.
Develop and maintain standard contract templates and legal documentation for internal teams and subsidiaries.
Support joint ventures and investment activities by reviewing legal documents, agreements, and corporate filings.
Provide legal support for investment and project‑related activities, including coordinating with external counsel and ensuring timely, compliant project documentation.
Prepare legal and compliance reports for the parent company and maintain regular communication with the Group Legal & Risk Control functions.
Manage legal disputes, claims, and litigation matters; coordinate external legal counsel and update management on case progress.
Support the Department Head in enhancing legal and compliance frameworks, policies, and processes.
Assist in departmental management, including team guidance, development, and fostering a strong culture of ethics and integrity.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Head.
Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.
At least 8 years of relevant legal experience, ideally in an in‑house counsel capacity or advising corporate clients.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex information and provide sound legal judgment.
High level of professionalism, ethics, responsibility, and teamwork.
Strong organisational and time‑management skills; able to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
Excellent command of English and Mandarin to communicate with English‑ and Mandarin‑speaking stakeholders and review documents in both languages.
