Job description
What the role is:

You will be part of MDDI’s Communications and Engagement Division that strategises, develops, and drives engagement, communications, and outreach for key areas of the Ministry’s work to engage hearts and minds and build a thriving digital future for all.

What you will be working on:

Reporting to Deputy Director/CED, you will strategise, plan, and implement engagement initiatives to further MDDI’s objectives.

  • Drive stakeholder engagement involving businesses, sector leaders, and the community to gather feedback on MDDI’s work and build support for the Ministry's priorities.
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies that deepen relationships with key partners and identify opportunities for collaboration.
  • Synthesise data from various sources such as events, public feedback, polls, surveys, and research to translate these insights into meaningful improvements to policies and initiatives.
  • Any other duties assigned such as staffing MDDI’s Political Officer Holders (POHs) in events.
What we are looking for:
  • A degree in social sciences, mass communications, marketing, public relations, or related field.
  • At least 4 to 5 years of relevant work experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership management.
  • Ability to think strategically to develop engagement plans that align with organisational objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Proficiency in data analytics to derive insights from feedback, surveys and focus group discussions, with experience using data visualisation tools.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to explain policies and technical topics clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Enjoy interacting with stakeholders to understand their perspectives and experiences.
  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
