Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert counsel on Singaporean employment law, regulations, and labor practices.
  • Coordinate employment law advice across the APAC region and India, including the engagement with external law firms and SLA.
  • Advise business leaders and People & Culture (HR) on workforce strategy, policies, and procedures.
  • Managing internal process and budget for engagement with external law firms.
  • Monitoring and tracking of cases across the region and responsible for hosting quarterly meeting reviews with regional P&C Heads.
  • Draft, review, and update employment contracts, policies, and employee documentation.
  • Develop and deliver training for management on labor law compliance.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in labor legislation, proactively advising on potential impacts and strategic responses.
  • Manage employment-related disputes, grievances, and disciplinary actions, minimizing risk for the company.
  • Collaborate with global legal teams to implement company-wide initiatives and harmonize labor practices.
  • Provide strategic advise to manage Labor Union matters as collective bargaining agreements, contract negotiations, conflict resolution and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in law; postgraduate specialization in Employment Law or Labor Relations is highly desirable.
  • Admitted to practice law in Singapore.
  • Minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience (PQE) focused exclusively on employment law, preferably within a multinational or technology-driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Singaporean labor legislation, jurisprudence, and regulatory landscape. Additional knowledge of Indian labour legislation could be an asset.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively across diverse teams.
