Singapore LNG Corporation Pte Ltd (SLNG) was incorporated by the Energy Market Authority of Singapore in June 2009 to build, own and operate Singapore's very first open-access, multi-user LNG Terminal. This is a key national infrastructure that supports Singapore's energy diversification strategy and future economic development in the energy sector.
With more than 95% of electricity in Singapore being generated using natural gas, the SLNG Terminal helps to enhance the country's energy security by enabling natural gas to be shipped to Singapore from anywhere in the world. It also serves as a platform to facilitate the development of new LNG-related businesses, thereby contributing to the growth of Singapore's energy industry and the creation of new job opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Focal for Mechanical discipline in SLNG project management team for SLNG CAPEX projects and supervise FEED consultants, EPC contractors and Equipment vendors
- Prepare and issue Mechanical basis of design, project specifications and scope of work for Feasibility Studies, FEED and EPC projects
- Review engineering consultants, EPC contractors, Equipment vendor proposals and evaluate their capabilities
- Review, validate and approve Electrical discipline and associated deliverables in CAPEX projects and develop such documents where required to support the project delivery internally or by consultant
- Review the documents required for Singapore regulatory approvals as required and support consultants/contractors for the authorities' approval
- Coordinate with project management team, other discipline engineering, and operation teams for Electrical discipline engineering and deliverables review
- Witness Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)
- Review as-built deliverables and ensure all SLNG approved as-built deliverables are uploaded in the document management system
- Ensure adherence to the Quality Management System established and adhere to the QA plans
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 10 to 15 years' engineering experience in Oil/Gas or LNG terminals with static equipment and package units.
- At least 5 years' engineering experience as a Sr. Mechanical engineer in internationally reputed organizations in engineering or EPC companies who are dealing with major projects in oil and gas or LNG/NG terminals
- Involved in 2 FEED or EPC detailed engineering projects either on Owner's side or Contractor/consultant side.
- Familiar with both international and Local Codes & Standards
- Experienced in preparing specification, data sheets, requisition of static equipment and packages, and technical bid evaluation, as well as vendor document review & commenting
- Experience in field engineering, equipment installation, construction or commissioning in LNG or LNG terminal project in owner's engineering team will be an added advantage
