A leading semiconductor solutions provider in Singapore is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to manage capacity improvement projects and ensure efficiency within their filter business. The role requires strong project management skills and expertise in industrial engineering principles. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in manufacturing processes and be proficient in tools like Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
Qualifications
- 8 years related experience in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, experience in Semiconductor Industry preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of Industrial Engineering concepts, practices, and principles.
- Ability to use software models to solve problems.

Job Responsibilities
Primary Tasks
- Overall capacity modelling/planning/expenditures for the filter business. Works with planning, manufacturing, process and equipment engineering to ensure demand is met.
- Review capacity model, understanding the constraints and track cycle to cycle capacity changes.
- Identify bottleneck processes and work out capacity improvement projects with cross-functional teams and/or CapEx for capacity ramping/expansion for the Filter business.
- Review capital and cashflow requirements, driving activities to improve capital efficiency and reduce cost.
- Conduct time study and update processes cycle time.
- Lead and drive cross-functional teams to continuously improve OEE, cycle time and processes.
- Identify process and operation inefficiencies in order to propose solutions for optimization and improvement.
Secondary Tasks
- Project management using Gantt chart / Action plan to execute and track the timeline of tools ready for production.
- Lead, coordinate and work with cross functional teams such as logistics, contractors, tool suppliers, equipment engineers, process engineers, facility engineers, environment health and safety officer to install the tools as planned.
- Brainstorm/Support with layout engineer to optimize equipment density, production flow and expansion.
Job Requirements
- BS in Industrial Engineering required, MS preferred.
- 8 years related experience in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, experience in Semiconductor Industry preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of Industrial Engineering concepts, practices, and principles
- Preferred experience with Backend Assembly, Test and Die packing
- Good communication skills (verbal, interpersonal, written).
- Possess Project Management skills.
- Excellent problem solving, continuous improvement analytical skills (6Sigma / 5S / Lean Manufacturing).
- Ability to use software models to solve problems.
- Must be a team player, detail oriented, and work well with others and perform well under pressure
- Conduct time study on site.
- Able to work in fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Self-driven and Self motivate to get job done.
