You will report to a hardware team lead for this position.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related qualification
• Min 5 years relevant Electronics Product cost optimization experience.
• Experience in design tools for Schematic Capture and PCB Layout
• Experience in board and system level design verification test.
• Experience in managing prototype build from BOM creation to build change requests.
• Candidates with experience in Functional Safety product development with IEC61508 will have an added advantage

Main responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising durability, reliability, and performance of components used in our products.
• Work closely with various departments, including Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance, to ensure understanding of product optimization goals.
• Identify inefficiencies and work with team to lead product costs reduction.
• Experience with manufacturing processes, materials, and engineering principles.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with component resiliency, which includes, design modifications, material & supplier selection, and process improvements.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in component engineering, develop resiliency plans, and work with SSO & Component Engineering to provide a stable and reliable supply of components.
• Propose, drive, and implement continuous improvement initiatives of RA products.
