Qualifications

• 5 years relevant facilities experience in Manufacturing environment and in Building management.
• Hands on experience on Facility equipment including air compressor, chiller, cooling tower.
• Basic skills in MS Office applications and SAP.

Our facility in Singapore has key functions in research and development, procurement, sales and finance for our Lighting and Detection business lines, in addition to key functions related to our Optics Manufacturing capabilities.

This site produces optical lenses such as spherical, aspherical and plano optics, with large machine shop capabilities and expertise in optical coating and assembly. Our photonic products and solutions serve a wide range of markets and applications in the areas of medicine, life science, industrial manufacturing, defense and aerospace, as well as research and development.

We are presently seeking Senior Facilities Technician that will support the team to fulfill customer's expectations.

Main Responsibilities

• Planning & Execution of breakdown and preventive maintenance activities assigned by Supervisor.
• Conduct facilities equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis and implement countermeasures. Plant's facilities equipment include but not limited to, electrical, air-conditioning system, WWTP, scrubber system, P&S system, clean room, fire protection system, etc.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules with contractors and vendors.
• Identify and resolve maintenance issues, troubleshooting issues, troubleshooting malfunctions and implementing solutions to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain adequate and orderly documentation as specified by the department procedure.
• Prepare regular reports on facility operations, maintenance activities and issues encountered to Facilities Engineer.
• Provide support for on-time renewal of all facilities' equipment licenses and permits.
• Monitoring contractor's performance and manging related administrative matters until work completion.
• Work with cross functional departments to resolve safety, quality and productivity related issues and improvement.
• Any other projects/tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, from time to time.
• 24/7 standby to attend and respond to any breakdown or emergency situations.

Requirements

• Higher NITEC or Diploma in Electrical and Electronics / Mechatronics.
• 5 years relevant facilities experience in Manufacturing environment and in Building management.
• Hands on experience in PLC, Drives, Automation, Electrical Circuits, Mechanical, Pneumatics, and Hydraulic.
• Hands on experience on Facility equipment ( Air compressor, Chiller, Aircon, cooling tower, transformers and switch gears).
• Team player to work with other functions.
• Self-motivated and resilient.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic Excel, Word, PowerPoint office and SAP skills.
