Job summary

A leading insurance company in Singapore is seeking a Motor Claim Surveyor to handle all assigned surveys. The role involves inspecting damages, negotiating repairs, and preparing reports. Ideal candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in the motor industry, a relevant qualification, and be proficient in English and Mandarin.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience in the motor industry in a similar capacity.
  • Able to conduct surveys using own vehicle.
  • Knowledge of using IT devices and software.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, verify and confirm damage extent of claims.
  • Negotiate scope and costs of repairs with claimants/repairers.
  • Prepare interim and final reports for recommendations.
  • Alert management of any abnormalities found during surveys.
  • Undertake assignments from Head of Unit or Department.

Job description

As a motor claim surveyor, you will be reporting to the Head of the Direct Unit.

You will handle all surveys assigned to you. Key responsibilities include:

  • Inspect, verify and confirm the extent and consistency of damage of the subject of claim.
  • Negotiate and communicate the scope and costs of repairs to the claimant or the repairer, within your DAL.
  • Prepare and submit interim and/or final report to support your recommendation.
  • Alert the HOU/HOS of any abnormity found during survey.
  • Undertake any assignments or projects given to you by your Head of Unit, Head of Section or Head of Department.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • GCE “O” Level or Diploma or Nitec 2 in Motor mechanic.
  • 3 years of working experience in the motor industry in a similar capacity.
  • Certificate in General Insurance (CGI)
  • Knowledge of using IT devices and software in the course of work.
  • Able to communicate in English and Mandarin with the repairers.
  • Travel to the location to conduct your assignments using your own vehicle.
