Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with workplace safety, health, environmental, and welfare requirements, including PPE and statutory obligations.
- Plan, develop, and conduct EHS training programs to enhance employees’ safety awareness.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, maintaining EHS documentation for ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 certifications.
- Investigate all EHS incidents and accidents thoroughly and ensure proper corrective actions are implemented.
- Conduct EHS induction programs for contractors and visitors as required.
- Manage and guide contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety rules during work activities.
- Prepare and submit safety reports in accordance with site requirements and Nippon Express regional monthly reporting.
- Establish, review, and update risk assessments in compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA).
- Conduct monthly WSH inspections with external consultants and follow up on the closure of findings.
- Analyze safety data, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain the Emergency Response Plan in compliance with SCDF requirements, including Fire Certificate renewal and CERT team structure.
- Promote and strengthen a positive safety culture across the workforce.
- Oversee daily operational safety matters within industrial buildings, including handling WSH-related enquiries and findings.
- Ensure all fire safety equipment and systems are maintained according to regulatory requirements.
- Support new customer enquiries, including new warehouse set-up requirements.
- Provide preventive and breakdown maintenance support for M&E systems, plumbing, sanitary services, ACMV systems, chillers, and electrical controls.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Diploma or Professional Certification in Workplace Safety & Health.
- 1 year of relevant safety or EHS working experience.
- Possess Fire Safety Manager (FSM) certification and BizSafe Level 2.
Advantages
- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM.
- Manage Work at Height Certificate (Assessor / Manager).
- Good knowledge of local legislation, including WSH, SCDF, and NEA regulations.
