Job description

Dementia Singapore is seeking a creative and dynamic Senior Executiveto help grow DementiaHub.SG – Singapore’s first one-stop resource portal on dementia. Dementia Hub is positioned as a community-facing resource platform providing credible informational support to persons with dementia, caregivers, care practitioners and the community to navigate through the dementia journey and bring about a more dementia-inclusive society.

In this role, you play an active and pivotal role to write and publish useful content and continuously improve the quality of resources and interactive experience of the portal. You will be responsible for helping the team to build a stronger online presence through the creation and dissemination of high-quality content to captivate and engage readers who have been impacted by dementia.

Job Responsibilities

  • Write, proofread, and publish articles for the website, research/evaluation reports, and other resources covering the latest developments in dementia care and research. This would include evidence-based practices, innovative research tools, and techniques, all contributing to the resource portal.
  • Proactively identify and explore emerging topics within communities impacted by dementia to ideate and deliver refreshing new content themes to support these communities.
  • Partner with key collaborators and stakeholders to co-author articles and create dementia-related resources. This involves both strategic planning and the production of content that addresses the needs of the dementia care community.
  • Manage administrative tasks, which includes documenting the notes of meetings, managing project schedules, coordination of project activities, monitoring and documenting the services provided, and billing.
  • Provide research support for projects including literature review, conducting of focus groups, interviews and surveys, data analysis, and interpretation of findings.
  • Assist in the preparation of evaluation/research reports, and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • An Honours or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, Gerontology, or a health-related field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong writing skills, including academic and report writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Experience in data collection for qualitative research studies is preferred.
  • A positive self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and change.
  • Able to work independently and as a responsible team player.
  • Prior experience in dementia care or working in a community health or social services setting is an added advantage.
