Working under the direction of the Vice Dean (Research) and the Senior Manager of the Research Office, the Senior Executive will be part of the team to support the core duties of the Research Office:

  • Grant Administration: Advise researchers on grant guidelines and requirements; provide administration support to researchers throughout the entire grant cycle from application through award, budget tracking, reporting of project status and closure. Serve as point of contact between researchers and various administration departments; manage grant calls and liaise with funding agencies.
  • Research Agreements: Support researchers to draft, review, negotiate and execute research agreements, working closely with collaborators and internal/external legal offices.
  • Departmental Ethics Review Committee (DERC) Secretariat: Provide ethics review, communicate feedback, review amendments, organize DERC meetings and keep records of reviews and outcomes.
  • Research Office: Organise research seminars and meetings; report research metrics for the School and researchers.
Qualifications
  • Applicants are expected to have at least a Bachelor degree from a recognised institution.
  • Preferably with at least 2 years of experience in an administrative position within academic, research or healthcare sector.
  • Experience in research administration, grant management, agreement review, research ethics, research compliance or database management is an advantage.
  • A team player with effective problem‑solving skills and excellent communication skills to perform well in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Able to take initiative to learn on the job and manage various responsibilities.
