Job description

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore has 33,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students across engineering, business, science, humanities, arts, social sciences, education and medicine. Ranked among the world’s top universities, the University’s Student Talent Attraction and Development (STAND) Committee oversees initiatives to attract and develop undergraduate talent. As part of this Committee, the Senior Executive will work closely with the Associate Vice Provost (Strategy) and the Vice Provost (Student Experience) to spearhead these initiatives.

You will play a key role in supporting the STAND Committee in implementing programs and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to implement initiatives that enable undergraduate students to lead talent-related projects, develop leadership skills, and explore intellectual boundaries through interdisciplinary collaborations with fellow students and scholars.

Key Responsibilities:

Student Talent Development Programme (STDP 2.0)
  • Provide support to effectively manage talent development programmes aimed at developing undergraduate student talents within NTU

  • Collaborate with colleges, schools, offices and vendors to assist in designing and delivering training sessions and workshops

  • Assist in monitoring the effectiveness of talent development programmes

NTU Talent Scholarship Application (NTS)
  • Provide support to develop marketing and promotional materials and manage scholarship initiatives

  • Maintain ongoing relationships with domain experts/ interview panellists and scholarship recipients

  • Provide support during application process and throughout the recipient’s educational journey

  • Maintain accurate records of scholarship recipients and program impact

Student Talent Attraction and Development
  • Provide support to the STAND Committee meeting logistics and university-wide initiatives.

  • Provide support for the implementation and collaboration with colleges, schools, and partners to co-create platforms and opportunities that showcase students’ talents and promote leadership, service, and holistic growth.

  • Provide support to the management of the NTU President's Award Application (NTUPA) and awardees.

Communications
  • Develop strategies to enhance the visibility of STAND and its initiatives

  • Assist in the development and dissemination of communication materials, including social media posts, newsletters, website content, marketing materials, and programme toolkit

  • Identify opportunities to publicise and showcase NTU talent scholars

  • Maintain a record of media features of NTU talent scholars

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, colleges, schools and department heads, to ensure alignment of initiatives with organisational goals

  • Collaborate with external partners, such as educational institutions, industry experts, and sponsors, to leverage on their expertise and support for initiatives

Key Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in disciplines such as Business Administration, Humanities, Communications etc

  • Possess at least 2 years of working experience supporting or managing initiatives such as leadership/ talent programs, youth development, communications

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels

  • Proficient in using software, including MS Office applications

  • Ability to work independently, as well as in cross-functional teams

  • A passion for education, student talent attraction and development, and fostering growth opportunities.
