Job description
What the role is:

You oversee funding to MINDEF-related agencies, including to analyse funding-related proposals and agencies’ expenditure patterns.

What you will be working on:
  • Collaborate with leadership of these MINDEF-related agencies to clarify their requirements and discuss proposals
  • Oversee agencies’ budget requirements and utilisation
  • Establish and review governance of MINDEF-related agencies under your purview
  • Own and operate the grant disbursement process
  • Identify areas for improvement
  • Implement streamlining efforts for the process
Challenge(s):
  • Managing areas without policy precedent
  • Balancing stakeholder requirements with governance needs
What we are looking for:
  • Education in Accountancy, professional qualification or business-related field is preferred
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Basic accounting and finance skills is preferred but not essential
  • Database management, visualisation and analytics experience is preferred
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen to drive change through process automation
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with agencies and stakeholders
