Job description

Responsibilities

• Handling Marine Hull and Cargo claims
• Liaise with policyholders, intermediaries, investigators, surveyors, adjusters, lawyers, 3rd party claimants, group companies etc.
• Train and guide assistants in their support role
• Manage and process claims expeditiously, professionally and equitably within agreed service benchmarks or applicable protocols
• Ensure reserves are provided or updated in a timely and realistic manner
• Add value to underwriters by advising underwriters on issues discovered during claims handling such as gap in policy wording and risk improvement
• Periodic review of files, as and when required
• Ensure recovery claims are pursued and followed up periodically
• Compile monthly/quarterly statistics and any other statistical data when required
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the superior

Requirements
