Company Overview

Our client, a renowned animation, film, and entertainment company specializing in IP and visual content licensing, product merchandising, and marketing across Southeast Asia, is seeking an HR Manager (Japanese Speaking).

Responsibilities
  • Manage HR administrative tasks, including payroll, leave management, employee data, and onboarding/offboarding.
  • Support recruitment activities such as sourcing, interview coordination, and pipeline management.
  • Assist Management with organizational planning, manpower forecasting, and HR strategies.
  • Liaise with Japan HQ on HR communication, documentation, and cross-border matters.
  • Ensure compliance with MOM regulations, the Singapore Employment Act, and internal policies.
  • Update and improve HR policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Handle expatriate administration, including work passes, visa renewals, and relocation support.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, and service providers.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and company events.
  • Oversee office administration to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Perform ad‑hoc HR and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements & Preferences

  • Familiarity with expatriate support or work pass procedures.
  • Japanese language ability (JLPT N2 or above) to communicate with Japan HQ and handle Japanese HR documents.

  • Experience in a small company or startup environment.
  • Interest in Japanese entertainment, animation, or film industries and willingness to commit long‑term.
