Job summary

A leading integrated resort in Singapore is seeking a Finance Manager responsible for managing monthly financial close activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing business partnering support. The ideal candidate has a degree in Accountancy or Finance with at least 2 years of experience, preferably in a hospitality environment. Strong analytical skills, communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. This role is critical for supporting budgeting processes and improving internal controls.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • Prior experience in a large organization or high-volume hospitality environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly financial close activities and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Work with accounting team to ensure accurate transaction accounting.
  • Act as Finance Business Partner to provide financial advice and analysis.
  • Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled timely for audit.
  • Participate in annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.
  • Drive process improvements and recommend internal controls.

Job Summary

The role is responsible for managing monthly financial close activities, providing financial analysis and business partnering support, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance. The position also supports budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives across the business units.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure regular review and smooth, timely monthly closing of accounts for assigned business units, including identifying unusual transactions and movements in account balances.
  • Work closely with the shared services accounting team to ensure all business unit transactions are accurately and properly accounted for.
  • Act as a Finance Business Partner to provide financial advice and support to business units, including analysing financial performance and supporting decision‑making.
  • Ensure balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled and that open items are closed accurately and on a timely basis for audit review.
  • Evaluate profit and cost efficiency across various areas of the business units.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.
  • Drive process improvements and recommend appropriate internal controls.
  • Manage operational engagements and key stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and financial regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including ad hoc projects.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline, or relevant professional qualifications such as CPA or ACCA.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • Prior experience in a similar capacity within a large organization or high-volume hospitality environment will be an added advantage.
Skills
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Experience in delivering change initiatives, system enhancements, business process improvements, and managing non-finance functions will be an added advantage.
  • Strong initiative and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to lead, coach, train, and motivate a large team.
