Role Description

This role is vital in supporting the Group Accountant Manager by assisting with finance operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to strategic financial planning and analysis to meet the organization's objectives. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in FP&A and prior experience in a manufacturing or factory environment.

Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
  • Lead and support the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long‑term financial plans for business units or group entities.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and align financial plans with strategic goals.
  • Prepare budget presentation decks for senior management and board‑level reporting.
  • Develop and maintain monthly management reports, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Perform variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast), identify root causes, and provide actionable commentary.
  • Prepare financial dashboards and highlight trends, risks, and business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyse key cost drivers and build robust financial models to support business case evaluations.
  • Streamline reporting processes and automate recurring tasks using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or ERP systems.
Finance Operations, Cashflow & Working Capital Management
  • Support daily finance operations and assist the Group Accountant in ensuring timely and accurate financial records.
  • Oversee external and internal audits processes, tax reporting, and compliance with other statutory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain accurate cashflow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity for day‑to‑day operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Continuously assess and enhance cash flow and working capital management practices to optimise efficiency and reduce financial risk.
  • Assist in improving overall financial processes and undertake ad‑hoc assignments as required.
Specifications / Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills)
  • Possess minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Demonstration of key finance competencies and qualifications with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Ability to take initiative, guide and influence others towards goal accomplishment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
  • Proficient user of finance software.
