Job Responsibilities
Event & Initiative Technical Support
- Provide full technical support for internal and external events, initiatives, launches, and hybrid programs
- Set up, operate, and monitor AV equipment including projectors, microphones, audio mixers, monitors, video switchers, and basic lighting systems
- Support live event productions to ensure optimal audio-visual presentation quality
Projection & Screening Operations
- Operate digital and (where applicable) analogue projection systems (DCP, Blu-ray, media servers, etc.) for film screenings and special events
- Ensure all films and content are properly formatted, tested, and ready for scheduled screenings
- Coordinate and manage the changeover of trailers, advertisements, and feature films
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform regular maintenance, calibration, and basic repairs of projection, AV, and lighting equipment
- Identify, report, and escalat technical faults or equipment failures
- Implement emergency troubleshooting procedures during screenings or live events
Technical Planning & Setup
- Assist in planning technical layouts including staging, projection, sound reinforcement, and lighting
- Support load-in, setup, and teardown of technical equipment for events and screenings
- Maintain accurate technical logs and equipment inventories
Safety, Training & Standards
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures in all technical operations
- Support training and guidance of junior projection/AV staff or temporary crew
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, security, and organization in all technical areas
Job Requirements
- NTC or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, AV Technology, or a related engineering discipline
- AVIXA CTS certification or equivalent is an advantage
- Minimum 2 years of experience in projection or AV roles, preferably in cinema, theatre, events, or performing arts venues
- Experience operating digital cinema projectors and cinema servers
- Hands‑on experience with AV event setups including microphones, mixers, speakers, and lighting control systems
- Technically competent, solutions‑oriented, and detail‑focused
- Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, public holidays, and late nights
- Calm under pressure and able to manage live technical situations effectively
- Strong team player with good communication skills
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment when required
- Committed to delivering a high standard of audience experience and technical performance
