What the role is

To support Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s Enterprise and AI platform adoption by providing business-friendly data analysis, building dashboards, and assisting in AI/LLM experimentation. This role translates business questions into actionable insights through natural language queries, dashboards, and predictive models, and ensures self-service analytics is accessible across the organization. The Senior Data & AI Analyst will also drive user requirements, self-service analytics and support democratization of data/AI. This is a 2-year contract position with the Digital Services & Technology Office

What you will be working on
  • Lead the design and development of analytical dashboards using tools such as Power BI and Databricks.
  • Perform data discovery, profiling and insights extraction.
  • Run complex queries and generate reports for business users.
  • Assist users in applying natural language query tools (e.g. Databricks Genei) and support self-service analytics.
  • Support LLM/AI team with data curation, prompt testing, and evaluation of model outputs.
  • Document KPIs, queries, and dashboard usage for business reference.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to identify and resolve data issues, and to ensure data quality and consistency in reporting.
What we are looking for
  • 2–4 years in data analytics, BI, or related roles.
  • Experience working with SQL and BI/reporting tool.
  • Exposure to AI/ML or NLP is preferred.
  • Skills & Certifications SQL proficiency (Databricks SQL or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • BI/dashboarding experience (Power BI, Tableau, or Databricks dashboards).
  • Desirable certifications: Microsoft Data Analyst Associate, Databricks SQL Analyst.
  • Python/PySpark knowledge for data analysis and AI.
