Job summary

A technology and engineering firm in Singapore seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer to lead the engineering scope for offshore projects. This role involves responsibilities from design through to commissioning, including documentation management and support for installation activities. Applicants must have at least 6 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering within the industrial automation sector, preferably in offshore oil and gas. The position requires excellent communication and documentation skills along with a strong understanding of IT security standards.

Qualifications

  • Skills in deploying security and backup solutions for large industries, preferably in offshore oil and gas.
  • Ability to understand customer specifications and IT security standards like IEC62443.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Cybersecurity Engineering scope for Offshore projects from design to commissioning.
  • Prepare and manage engineering documentation per Offshore standards.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to understand technical requirements.
  • Drive procurement, managing vendor interactions and technical clarifications.
  • Deploy cybersecurity products including firewalls and patch management.
  • Conduct Factory and Site Acceptance Tests.
  • Provide on-site support during installation and commissioning.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Cybersecurity Engineers.

Job description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Cybersecurity Engineering scope for Offshore projects from design through to commissioning.
  • Perform basic and detailed hardware design independently for Cybersecurity products and finalize Bill of Materials.
  • Prepare, review, and manage engineering documentation in compliance with Offshore standards and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with Affiliates, EPCs, and Clients to understand technical requirements and ensure proper implementation.
  • Drive procurement including vendor interactions, technical clarifications, and support for buy-out packages.
  • Deployment of Switches, Firewalls, Domain controller, Whitelisting software setup, Windows Patch Management using WSUS, setup of McAfee EPO and Symantec SEPM.
  • Conduct and lead FAT / IFAT / SAT (Factory Acceptance Tests / Integrated FAT / Site Acceptance Tests) activities.
  • Provide on-site support for installation, startup, and commissioning activities.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Cybersecurity Engineers, ensuring timely delivery of engineering deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with Project and Engineering Managers for complete Cybersecurity solution delivery.
Required Experience & Skills:
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Cybersecurity Engineering for DCS/PLC-based industrial automation projects.
  • Skills on IT Security and backup solutions deployment for large industries, preferably in Shell Offshore Oil & Gas sector
  • Excellent communications & Documentation skills.
  • Ability to understand customer specifications and IT security guidelines and standards like IEC62443.
