Job summary

A leading technology firm in Singapore is seeking a Finance Costing Specialist. This role involves ensuring accurate daily cost roll-ups, maintaining budgets, and supporting audits. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent along with at least 3 years of relevant experience in finance, especially in costing functions. Proficiency in Excel is required, and familiarity with Oracle is a plus. This position is 100% onsite at our Singapore location.

  • Willing to extend working hours as required.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily cost roll-up activities and maintain material master list.
  • Prepare budget and forecast reports on time.
  • Conduct internal sampling tests and surprise counts.
  • Support external and internal audits with documentation.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Ensure daily cost roll-up activities are completed within deadlines and maintain an up-to-date material master list according to schedule & timeline as setup
  2. Ensure all budget and forecast reports and ensure schedules are prepared and updated on a timely basis, and streamline data templates for improved integration
  3. Review and provide assistance on other costing-related matters as needed.
  4. Conduct internal sampling tests, surprise counts, and year-end physical counts for inventories and fixed assets.
  5. Support external and internal audits with costing-related documentation as well as on financial matters
  6. Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements in company
  7. Updates on monthly management reports with standard vs actual cost variance analysis and cost monitoring advice
  8. Prepare on yearly budget up to 5 years plan and assist on year-end inventory stock take arrangement
  9. Internal control on costing to ensure purchase/procedure transaction by planner/buyer are aligned with policy
  10. Ad-hoc project/assignment that may be assign from time to time when necessary
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Accounting or its equivalent Degree,
  • Professional accountancy qualification ACCA or equivalent
Skills
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in finance especially costing function
  • Proficient in using Windows software applications such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
  • Familiarity with Oracle is an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels
  • Willing to extend working hours as and when required
