Job summary

An international corporate services provider in Singapore is seeking a Compliance professional to support the Head of Compliance. The role involves preventing financial crime, updating policies, conducting training, and engaging with regulatory requirements. Candidates should possess 2 to 5 years of experience in compliance or regulatory advisory, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Excel. This position is key to fostering a culture of compliance within the organization.

Qualifications

About the role

ZEDRA is an international provider of Corporate Services & Global Expansion, Active Wealth and Fund Solutions.

Reporting to the Head of Compliance - Singapore, this role will be responsible to support the Head of Compliance in preventing and identifying financial crime, strengthening the Compliance culture and policy framework, and guide the business through regulatory changes to enable business growth.

Scope of Work

Provide advice, assistance and support to the business on all matters relevant to financial crime prevention (including Client Due Diligence, AML / CFT, Sanctions and Anti-bribery & Corruption) and regulatory compliance. This includes escalating significant matters promptly, providing additional information,

analyzing / interpreting regulatory and internal policy / procedure issues.

  • Update local policies and procedures to incorporate changes in regulation and local legislation. Conduct relevant trainings to colleagues.
  • Carry out any ad-hoc research, investigations and reporting into matters relating to financial crime and regulatory requirements.
  • Awareness of operational risk and identify possible issues, control weakness and improvements.
  • Development, implementation and maintenance of management information that support timely and effective business management and decision making.
  • Support senior management in ensuring all relevant reports are completed within the timelines.
  • Fosters a positive culture of compliance by working proactively with the business to ensure that best practices are followed in accordance with relevant laws, rules, regulations and internal policies.
  • Reporting of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs).
  • Assists on auditors’ and authorities’ requests.
Knowledge / Experience
  • Preferably 2 to 5 years of relevant compliance, regulatory advisory or client due diligence experience with a trust company or a financial institution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both Compliance, Business Senior Management and Regulators.
  • Good MS Excel skills.
