A leading design agency in Singapore is looking for a Senior Communication & Digital Designer to lead branding, digital products, and integrated communications. The role requires extensive design experience, proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite, and a strong foundation in UX/UI principles. You will oversee complex projects, mentor junior designers, and collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders. This position offers the opportunity to drive high-impact design projects across digital and print platforms.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Communication & Digital Designer to lead creative design across branding, digital products, and integrated communication touchpoints. In this role, you will drive high-level creative direction, balance strategic vision with hands‑on execution, oversee complex, multifaceted projects, and mentor design talent.
You will collaborate closely with leadership (e.g. Principals, Creative Directors), cross‑functional stakeholders (environments, strategy, tech, clients), and external partners to deliver exceptional design work across digital, print, environmental, and brand experiences.
As a senior designer, you will shape design standards, champion user‑centered and business‑driven design practices, and help elevate the overall creative capabilities and impact of the studio.
Translate project briefs into compelling creative and design strategies — from concept through delivery.
Lead ideation sessions and contribute high‑level conceptual thinking, storytelling, and design rationale that align with business goals and client objectives.
Present design concepts, prototypes, and visual narratives to stakeholders (internal and external), articulating design decisions clearly and convincingly.
Define and execute visual identity, brand systems, environmental graphics, wayfinding, print materials, and other offline/digital communication assets.
Develop holistic brand experiences that span physical and digital touchpoints, ensuring coherence, consistency, and quality across media.
Maintain and evolve brand guidelines, design standards, and visual libraries for the studio and clients.
Lead UX and UI design for web, mobile, and digital products. Plan and oversee the design process — research → flows → wireframes → high‑fidelity UI → prototypes → final delivery.
Build and maintain comprehensive design systems (components, style guides, patterns) to support scalable, cross‑platform digital work.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to align design implementation with technical constraints and business goals.
Lead or coordinate user research: interviews, usability testing, analytics review, context analysis—to inform user‑centered and data‑driven design decisions.
Use insights and data to iterate and refine designs; advocate for accessibility, inclusivity, and usability best practices.
Mentor junior and mid‑level designers; provide constructive feedback, guidance, and support for their growth.
Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration across design, product, technology, marketing, and client teams; manage timelines and project workflows.
Champion design standards, best practices, and continuous improvement of design processes and internal delivery workflows.
Engage with clients or external stakeholders: present design work, gather feedback, manage expectations, and translate business requirements into design solutions.
Help maintain long‑term client relationships and contribute to business development through design excellence, strategic thinking, and reliable delivery.
Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in design—across communication design, branding, digital product design, environmental/experiential design, or a comparable multi‑discipline design environment.
Advanced proficiency in design tools: Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects or similar), UI/UX tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or equivalent).
Strong understanding of UX/UI principles: interaction design, information architecture, responsive design, accessibility, and cross‑platform design best practices.
Ability to build and maintain design systems, style guides, UI component libraries, and design documentation.
Familiarity or willingness to engage with front‑end technologies (HTML/CSS or basic web development concepts) is a plus—to effectively collaborate with developers.
Excellent conceptual thinking, visual storytelling, and design rationale articulation — able to take strategic briefs and turn them into creative, user‑focused design solutions.
Strong communication and presentation skills — comfortable engaging with clients, stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams, translating design ideas clearly, and advocating for best practices.
Leadership and mentorship capability — able to support, guide, and develop more junior designers, review work, give feedback, and contribute to growing design culture.
Project planning, and multi‑tasking abilities — able to juggle multiple projects, manage deadlines, and maintain high quality across deliverables under pressure.
Business acumen: ability to align design solutions with business goals, understand target audiences and market trends, and contribute to client or product success through design.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Communication Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, HCI, or related field—or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of professional experience in communication design, digital design, UX/UI, branding, or an integrated agency or studio environment.
Demonstrable portfolio that showcases a variety of projects—branding, digital products (web/mobile), environmental/print design, design systems, complex UX/UI flows, responsive/designed‑for‑multiple‑platform work.
Lead creative international work spanning branding, digital products, and multi‑channel communications—across physical and digital media.
Play a pivotal role in shaping design direction, establishing and evolving design systems and best practices.
Mentor and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—contributing to growth, learning, and high‑quality creative output.
Work directly with clients and stakeholders, influencing design decisions and delivering impact through well‑executed design solutions.
Engage in meaningful, high‑impact projects from concept to completion, balancing creative freedom with strategic design responsibilities.
