Job summary

A leading casino resort in Singapore is looking for a Cage Cashier to handle cash and transactions efficiently. Responsibilities include maintaining cash reserves, conducting transactions for VIP guests, and providing excellent customer service. Job description
JOB SCOPE

Able to perform the functions of a Cage Cashier, duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Train and competent in Main Bank Operations and/or VIP Cage Operations.
  • Verify and acknowledge cashier transactions.

Main Bank responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the casino has adequate cash reserves and that all excess cash coin, foreign currency and other negotiable instruments are banked on a timely basis
  • Preparation of the Kiosk Cassettes, maintaining and overseeing Kiosk operation
  • Take over the inventory of the Main Bank at the commencement of the shift
  • Receive credits of cash and other cash equivalents from the Remote Cages/Remote Main banks
  • Receive turn-ins from Cage Front Window cashiers, Team Member Bank and VIP windows
  • Receive cash and tokens from the Count rooms and balance all Main Bank inventory items to the computer system at the completion of the shift
  • Prepare excess cash/coin, foreign currency and other negotiable instruments for banking each day
  • Provide friendly, efficient and courteous service to all internal and external customers.

VIP Cage Operation responsibilities:

  • Proficient in all Cage transactions related to VIP Gaming, including Rolling Chip Exchanges, Patron Account Transactions, Marker transactions, Foreign Exchange, Buy-ins and settlements, Pit Clerk functions
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education & Certification

  • Secondary education/Diploma preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of one year of cashier experience in a cash handling environment

Other Prerequisites

  • Experience in handling cash and foreign exchange currencies preferred
  • Able to operate electronic cashier equipment (e.g. note counters, counterfeit detectors)
  • Able to communicate effectively with both English and Mandarin-speaking guests
  • Possess a flair for numericals and excellent service and communication skills
  • Willing to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and overnight, as well as on public holidays
