Senior Avaloq Technical Business Analyst
Role Overview
The Senior Avaloq Technical Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in designing, enhancing, and supporting core banking solutions built on the Avaloq platform. This role requires deep Avaloq product knowledge, strong analytical capabilities, and hands‑on configuration expertise. The ideal candidate bridges business requirements with technical implementation, ensuring scalable, compliant, and high‑quality banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand functional needs across Wealth Management, Payments, Treasury, Compliance, and Core Banking modules.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
- Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and propose optimal Avaloq‑based solutions.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and solution validation sessions.
Avaloq Configuration & Technical Delivery
- Configure Avaloq Core Banking Platform using Avaloq Script, parameterization, and customization frameworks.
- Develop and maintain data mappings, interfaces, and integration logic with upstream/downstream systems.
- Support Avaloq releases, CRs, and parameter changes through the full SDLC.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with Avaloq best practices.
Testing, Quality Assurance & Deployment
- Prepare test scenarios, test cases, and support SIT/UAT cycles.
- Validate end‑to‑end functionality, ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
- Support production deployments, release management, and post‑go‑live issue resolution.
Stakeholder Management & Governance
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Avaloq modules and related banking processes.
- Provide guidance to junior BAs, developers, and cross‑functional teams.
- Ensure documentation, traceability, and compliance with internal governance frameworks.
- Liaise with Avaloq, vendors, and external partners when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
- 8–10+ years of experience as an Avaloq Business Analyst, Technical BA, or Avaloq Consultant.
- Certified Avaloq Professional (ACP) is strongly preferred.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Avaloq parameterization, Avaloq Script, and module configuration.
- Solid understanding of banking processes: Payments, Securities, Corporate Actions, Client Onboarding, Risk & Compliance, or Wealth Management.
- Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in agile and hybrid delivery environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Avaloq ACP specialization (e.g., Payments, Wealth, Interfaces).
- Familiarity with microservices, event‑driven architecture, or cloud‑based integrations.
- Exposure to regulatory projects (MAS, FATCA, CRS, AML/KYC).
- Experience working with Temenos, Finacle, or other core banking systems is a plus.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills in a regional or global banking environment.
