Job summary

A leading software company in Singapore is seeking an Automation Tester to drive testing and validation efforts across web and mobile applications. This role involves designing automation strategies using tools like Selenium and Appium, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams for troubleshooting. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have a strong technical background, including scripting skills in various languages and knowledge of mobile operating systems. A familiarity with JIRA is also required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, computer science, or a related discipline.
• Relevant work experience in development and/or testing role.
• Technical background and understanding of mobile apps & ecosystem.
• Good development/scripting skills in languages compatible with Selenium.
• Experience with mobile operating systems - iOS, Android, Windows Phone.
• Practical knowledge of automated testing tools.

Job description

Major Responsibilities

• Interact with product management, project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
• Design and create test conditions, test data and test scripts to address business and technical use cases
• Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools for performing testing/validation function
• Develop and lead the automation strategy/effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing cycles using Selenium & Appium
• Design, Execute and analyze automation test scripts & test results for Web applications, iOS, Android & Windows Phone apps
• Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using JIRA

Experience/Skills

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, information technology, computer science, IT Business or a related discipline
• Relevant work experience in development and/or testing role.
• Technical background and an understanding of the mobile apps & eco-system
• Good development/scripting skills in common languages which are Web-driver compatible language such as Java, Objective-C, JavaScript with Node.js, PHP, Python, Ruby, C#, or Perl with the Selenium WebDriver API and language-specific client libraries.
• Good experience with different Mobile Operating Systems (iOS, Android, Windows Phone)
• Expertise practical knowledge of automated testing tools Selenium & Appium
• Knowledge & Experience on JIRA tool is a must
• Knowledge on Robotium & Selendroid tools is a plus
• Workingknowledge on Testrails tool is a plus
• Must demonstrate an understanding of test automation frameworks
