The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Manager for Technology Consulting with experience in SAP S/4HANA & ECC FI-CO, and 7-10 years of experience in Finance business process and technology.

Responsibilities
  • Responsibilities across typical phases of an SAP project:
  • Opportunity Pursuit: participate in shaping deals, prepare solutions, approach/timelines, team sizing, cost estimates, etc.; present and articulate value in oral presentations.
  • Analyze Phase: understand client business model, requirements, and pain points; formulate a plan to drive day-to-day execution of the transformation program.
  • Design Phase: explain SAP best practices; challenge clients on customization mindset; conduct workshops across all finance processes; articulate messages clearly; drive key design decisions (e.g., one common chart of accounts vs. decentralized COA); propose SAP or non-SAP solutions based on prior experience; prepare blueprint documentation, change impact assessments, and fit/gap analyses; obtain signoffs; present design to C-suite.
  • Build Phase: educate clients on SAP configuration needs; perform configurations or guide the team; write functional design documents for add-ons and coordinate with developers; assist in unit testing and SIT (cross-module scenarios).
  • Test Phase: write test scripts and scenarios with finance users; obtain sign-offs; facilitate UAT; identify defects and coordinate resolution with developers.
  • Training Phase: prepare clear training materials; conduct mass user training (TTT/EUT) for audiences of 10–50; be concise and articulate in training.
  • Data Migration: create data strategy for master and transactional data; assist users in data cleansing and transformation.
  • Deployment: advise on cutover activities; Post Go-live: provide first-level support through the first month end close.
Skills and Attributes for Success
  • Must Have skills (at least 60% from the list): Enterprise structure design / Finance Master data; General Ledger; Accounts Receivable; Accounts Payable; Asset Accounting; Product Costing; Statutory reporting; Tax; Treasury; Profitability Analysis / Management Reporting; strong cross-functional understanding with PP, MM, SD.
  • Ability to articulate business value to the C-suite on KPIs such as faster month-end close, touchless reporting, centralized intercompany reconciliations, automated allocations, optimized Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash, advanced product costing and variance analysis, touchless consolidation, streamlined budgeting and forecasting, and advanced tax and treasury management.
  • Must be able to articulate time and cost benefits from Finance transformation programs.
Nice-to-Have Skills and Traits
  • Consolidation & elimination knowledge (e.g., SAP Group reporting)
  • FP&A budgeting and forecasting knowledge (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud, BPC)
  • Account reconciliations knowledge (Blackline, HighRadius, or others)
  • Allocations knowledge (PaPM or others)
  • Advanced statutory reporting knowledge (Workiva, SAP ACR or others)
  • Awareness of emerging Finance technologies (e.g., RPA, ML for collections)
  • Ability to create structure in ambiguity; lead by example
