We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Associate, Life and Shield Claims.

In this role you will:
  • Provide accurate and timely assessment of major claims, i.e. Death/Critical Illness/Total and Permanent Disability, as well as Shield claims within the required service standards and ensure that claims are paid accurately and promptly
  • Handle claim investigations and appeals
  • Deliver excellent service and enhance customer and distribution channels relationship management
  • Review claims processes and participate in process improvement projects, initiatives and system enhancement for the department, including establishment of claims best practices
  • Handle emails on claims related enquiries
  • Handle claims quality checks and ensure compliance to regulations, internal company and group policies
  • Handle projects as a subject matter expert (SME) of claims, and ensure the successful and timely implementation of the projects
  • Do other work as and when required by Team Lead or HOD
To be successful you will need:
  • Degree or Diploma holder with Professional Insurance Certificate with at least relevant claims experience or have prior experience working for life insurance companies
  • To have strong analytical, written and communication skills
  • Customer centricity and meticulous with the ability to work under pressure, excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all stakeholders
  • High level of integrity, takes accountability and ownership, and a team player
  • Good medical knowledge and ability to explain medical conditions in insurance context
  • Takes initiative to improve current state of things and has a positive/proactive mindset and embrace new changes
