The Senior Assistant Manager, Academic supports the administration and governance of Postgraduate by Coursework (PGC) programmes at NTU. The role coordinates new programme proposals by managing timelines, documentation, and stakeholder engagement across Schools, Colleges, and central administrative offices. It also supports the drafting, coordination, and finalisation of collaborative and integrated programme agreements with overseas partner institutions, in alignment with university policies. In addition, the role oversees a range of academic administrative and reporting matters to ensure effective implementation of PGC programmes.
Working under the guidance of the Associate Vice President (Lifelong Learning – Academic), you will help ensure that NTU’s postgraduate offerings remain administratively robust and internationally competitive.
Lead and oversee the management of new programme proposals, including planning and coordinating timelines, reviewing and consolidating documentation, and proactively liaising with relevant academic and administrative offices to ensure smooth progression and compliance with university requirements.
Serve as the primary secretariat for programme‑related committees, including preparing agendas, taking minutes during monthly meetings on new programme proposals, and ensuring timely follow‑up on key decisions, action items, and deadlines with relevant stakeholders.
Manage and provide oversight on a broad range of Postgraduate by Coursework (PGC) administrative matters, including the evaluation and processing of non‑curricular proposals, preparation of circulars and management reports, and monitoring of deliverables to ensure adherence to institutional timelines and policies.
Act as a key liaison between departments, schools, and central administrative units, providing guidance on PGC‑related processes, resolving administrative queries, and ensuring alignment with university policies.
Support the Associate Vice President (Lifelong Learning – Academic) in institutional‑ and ministry‑level reporting, including the compilation, validation, and analysis of PGC data.
Oversee and approve updates to the Graduate Programmes Listing on NTU’s website, ensuring accuracy, policy compliance, and consistency of information across platforms.
Represent the unit in outreach and engagement activities, including meetings with international partners, participation in programme briefings, and support for strategic partnership development initiatives.
Contribute to continuous improvement of PGC administrative processes by identifying gaps, proposing enhancements, and supporting the implementation of process improvements in line with evolving operational and strategic needs.
Perform other related duties as assigned, commensurate with the level of responsibility and in support of organisational priorities.
