A global content production company in Singapore is seeking a Senior Assistant Editor to enhance post-production workflows and train junior editors. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience and be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, ensuring quality control and timely delivery of projects. Responsibilities include preparing materials, editing content, and providing ongoing support to the editing team. As a Senior Assistant Editor at Orb, you’ll play a key role in evolving post‑production workflows, driving automation, and helping build the next phase of our editing team.
Shift work is required for this position.
Prepare materials using Premiere, After Effects and Media Encoder
Edit materials using Adobe Creative Suite, and conform and deliver them as per requirements
Conduct quality control (QC) to ensure materials meet client guidelines
Ensure accuracy of file naming conventions while maintaining an organized and clean folder structure
Pro‑actively identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise
Collaborate with team leads to develop new workflows, streamline & optimize AE processes from a technical standpoint
Train Assistant Editors on workflows and processes and ensure that training materials are up to date
Ensure all Assistant Editors stay up to date on newly developed workflows and updated procedures.
Provide ongoing support, guidance, and clarification to Assistant Editors as workflows evolve.
Some knowledge of other editing tools like Avid, Davinci Resolve
Basic knowledge of and interest in JavaScript, Google Apps Script, and Adobe After Effects Expressions
Propose and co‑create automation solutions using scripting and expressions to streamline repetitive tasks, optimize workflows, and enhance efficiency across internal teams
Coordinate with IT and Project Manager to ensure adequate server space availability
Work closely with IT to diagnose and troubleshoot computer, software, and workstation‑related technical issues.
Be a dependable team member in resolving technical inquiries and challenges
Serve as an expert on AE work and provide support to the global team
Monitor project status and progress, ensuring timely completion and delivery
Ensure accurate and timely time reporting across all platforms
Maintain current project status updates on our PM tools.
This role may evolve to include people management, including mentoring and guiding team members, supporting their development, and overseeing day‑to‑day team operations
4-6 years of working experience in a post‑production or similar professional editing environment
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a Media management/studies or relevant course
Strong hands‑on experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder
Strong understanding of post‑production workflows and delivery standards
Comfortable managing file structures, servers, and technical troubleshooting
Experience improving workflows, documenting processes, or supporting automation
Ability to guide or train junior editors on tools and processes

You communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating across teams (creative, PM, IT)
You’re detail‑oriented but not rigid - you know when to be precise and when to adapt
