Job summary

A financial services company based in Singapore is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage accounts payable and receivable, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable (AP): review and process vendor invoices, ensure timely disbursements, maintain strong vendor relationships, and negotiate optimal payment terms.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR): issue and track invoices, follow up on outstanding payments, resolve billing discrepancies, and monitor AR aging reports.
  • Review supplier invoices and ensure accurate cost allocation in the accounting system.
  • Ensure accuracy in bank reconciliations, collections, credit control, and intercompany transactions.
  • Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary schedules and documentation.
  • Monitor and control company expenses, recommending cost-saving measures where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records.
  • Prepare monthly and year-end journals, reconciliations, and financial reports.
  • Generate digital and physical invoices for intercompany and cross-entity transactions.
  • Monitor and report on daily cash flow, supporting management in short-term decision-making.
  • Prepare audit schedules and assist with external audit requirements.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to aid strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Administer and optimize the ERP system, including onboarding new customers and suppliers, and resolving system issues.
  • Collaborate with IT to implement ERP enhancements and system upgrades.
  • Review and strengthen internal controls and accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Partner with HR, operations, and sales teams to deliver timely financial insights and support.
  • Present financial information and recommendations in clear, accessible terms to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Support project billing, costing, and ensure effective coordination across departments.
  • Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff in daily operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in financial processes.
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks and administrative responsibilities as required.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA qualification preferred).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of full set of accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is preferred.
