Job description

The Senior Accountant will manage the Hong Kong business accounting function, including month-end closing, statutory audits, management reporting, and annual budgeting. This role partners with regional and corporate finance teams to ensure compliance, deliver accurate financial insights, and drive process improvements.

Description
  • Oversee month-end closing for HK books.
  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly financial reports with insightful commentary.
  • Respond promptly to stakeholder inquiries and provide value-added analysis.
  • Ensure efficiency and quality in financial and management reporting.
  • Identify risks and opportunities on the balance sheet and resolve issues proactively.
  • Support statutory audit deliverables and preparation of audited accounts.
  • Work with tax teams and external to ensure timely tax computations.
  • Assist in improving and implementing internal controls and financial policies.
  • Provide guidance to the Shared Service Center on accounting operations.
  • Collaborate with Treasury, Tax, BI, and other corporate functions on finance operations and reporting.
  • Partner with Commercial and Business Support teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
  • Actively participate in process enhancements and system implementation projects.
  • Work with the Commercial team and APAC regional finance team to deliver the annual P&L budget on time.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Profile

A successful Senior Accountant should have:

  • A degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in the business services industry is advantageous.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
