A technology company in Singapore is seeking a laboratory assistant to support daily practical exams and laboratory setups. Job description

Contract Period

Base Period: 2 January 2026 – 31 December 2026

Option Period: 1 January 2027 – 31 December 2027 (subject to good performance review)

Working Hours

Personnel To Be Deployed At The Following Hours

Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break

Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Scope of work

The Services required are set out as follows:

• Support daily practical and practical exams preparations
• Dispense chemicals and lay out apparatus (glassware, chemicals, safety goggles etc)
• Collect and clear away equipment and chemicals, and other teaching materials after each practical including safely disposing of chemicals and washing of glass apparatus
• Before the start of each term during term break: general replenishment of bench reagents
• Any other ad-hoc duties that may be assigned by the Science Laboratory Technician

Qualifications And Skills

Has at least Primary level qualifications (able to read and write) Basic knowledge on lab settings and chemical preparation would be an advantage Relevant past experience working in a science lab would be advantage Good communication skills Team player with a positive attitude and pleasant disposition Able to work independently and take initiative

Experience

• primary-level qualification: 1 year (Preferred)
• working in a science laboratory: 1 year (Preferred)
• with basic lab practices, including handling chemicals: 1 year (Preferred)
