Job description

Our Client is looking for a SAP Datasphere & Analytics Solution Architect to specialize in the SAP Business Data Cloud ecosystem. This pivotal role requires deep expertise in modern SAP data warehousing and analytics, primarily SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

You will be responsible for helping enterprise clients unify, transform, and visualize complex data across SAP (S/4HANA, BW/4HANA) and non-SAP landscapes, designing and delivering end-to-end data models and business intelligence solutions that drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Data Modeling & Architecture: Design and implement scalable data models and semantic layers within SAP Datasphere (formerly SAP Data Warehouse Cloud).
• Consumption Layer Development: Develop virtual data models (VDMs), consumption views, and harmonized datasets ready for analysis in SAC and other business intelligence (BI) tools.
• BI & Visualization Integration: Integrate SAP Datasphere directly with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to build dynamic dashboards, interactive stories, and advanced analytical applications.
• Data Integration & Connectivity: Configure and implement live and import connections from various data sources, including SAP S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, HANA, and external cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, APIs).
• Pipeline Automation: Implement data flows, replication flows, and task chains to establish automated, reliable data processing pipelines.
• Governance & Optimization: Ensure high standards of data accuracy, lineage, and governance across the SAP Business Data Cloud environment, and optimize performance of data pipelines and SAC visualizations for large‑scale enterprise use.
• Business Collaboration: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to effectively translate complex reporting and strategic requirements into actionable data and visualization solutions.
• Ecosystem Advancement: Stay current with the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) roadmap, including innovations in Joule, SAP Databricks, and emerging AI/ML capabilities.

REQUIREMENTS

• SAP Data Cloud Expertise: Proven, hands‑on experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing solutions using SAP Datasphere (formerly SAP Data Warehouse Cloud).
• SAP Analytics: Strong expertise in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), specifically building dashboards, stories, and connecting them to SAP backends (Datasphere/BW/HANA).
• Core SAP BI Background: Foundational expertise as a consultant in either SAP BI or SAP BW, demonstrating a deep understanding of core data warehousing concepts, ETL, and semantic modeling.
• Integration Skills: Practical experience configuring live and import data connections from SAP S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and/or SAP HANA.
• Data Modeling: Expert ability to design scalable data models, virtual models (VDMs), and consumption layers for complex enterprise requirements.

GOOD TO HAVE

• Direct experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services related to data management.
• Familiarity with non‑SAP cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift) and connecting them to SAP Datasphere.
• Knowledge of emerging SAP innovations like Joule or the integration of SAP with Databricks.
• Experience with advanced governance or data quality tools within the SAP ecosystem.
• Excellent client‑facing skills for requirement gathering and technical solution presentation to executive leadership.
